When I first joined this class I learned that we did a lot more than just take pictures. I learned a lot about how cameras work, how to make pictures look good, and all the different elements that go into a single photograph. When we first learned about the composition elements, I was really intrigued in how they could sway the emotions of the viewer. Below are a couple pictures from the composition assignment. Next we started doing our weekly photo assignments. We would turn a different topic of pictures in every Monday. You can see these assignment if you scroll though my blog. Some of my favorites to do were nature, fall colors, and architecture. I also had some rough spots, especially in photoshop. I have many unfinished assignments because I just didn't have anywhere else to go with them: These are obviously not the best, but I gave it my best shot. These were both not completed but I believe that shows my growth as a photographer and creative designer. In the end, I learned how amazing pictures can be if you really put time and effort into them. I also discovered my passion for photography and am hoping that one day I will be able to pursue this as a job.

For this assignment we took two pictures and put them together in photoshop with a black background and white frame. Mine is below: During this assignment I learned how I can make photos look more professional by adding a "frame".
For this assignment we had to create a pun with pictures and photoshop. The images below are the ones I chose. I didn't learn a ton on this but it was still a fun project.
For this assignment I chose to focus on architecture. I went into Clinton and Ann Arbor to try and showcase the rustic architecture of different places. Below is my best picture. Below is my edit of the picture. Remaining are my 5 "runner ups." During this assignment I learned a lot about how lighting affects the overall quality of a picture.
For this assignment I went outside and took pictures of the fall leaves at my house. The best one is shown below. This is my best picture after editing: Below are my five runner ups: During this assignment I learned what works best to make fall colors pop and, also, what takes away from them. I used this to help me with the pictures and making the colors look great.
For this assignment, we took a couple pictures of ourselves or other people i the same place and used photoshop to put them together. This gave the illusion that there were multiple of the same people in a photo. Below are two of my projects. During this assignment I learned how to edit multiple of the same person into a photograph using scripts:add files into stack and the lasso tool.
For school context, our job was to take a picture of the school and make it look like something else. I chose to take a picture of the pool and make it seem like a scene from the old Netflix show, H2O. During this, I learned that photoshop is a lot harder than it seems. Especially if you're adding in pictures from a completely different setting, as I chose to do.
For photo 5 I decided to focus on people and portrait photography. My goal was to use light as an advantage and make it accentuate the picture. Below is my best picture: Below are my 5 runner ups: During this assignment I learned that shadows and light can be used to make or break a picture. You have to very specific in how you use them to get the exact product you're looking for.
For this assignment I chose to do shadows and light. As you can see below, I have mostly pictures capturing shadows, but I have one focusing on light. My goal was to make the pictures have a feeling. Below is my best picture. Below is my edited version. These are the 5 runner ups. During this assignment I learned that shadows are hard to capture AND make look good. It's hard to look at them and see art, unless you look the right way.
For this assignment we used photoshop and photo merge to create panoramas. Below are my four panoramas. During this assignment I learned a lot more about file sizes and how they impact projects. I also learned how to make a pano without using a phone.
